Examine the ecological impacts of global warming for Arctic areas (15)
Arctic areas are found within the arctic circle which is any where further than 60 degrees north of the equator and is dominated by the Arctic Ocean, Canada, Russia and Greenland. This area is particularly at risk to Global warming which is the increase in global air and ocean temperatures due to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions or natural orbital cycles. The Arctic has experienced a rapid increase in temperature as significant as 4 degrees in some areas over the past 50 years and this has huge ecological impacts on the flora and fauna of the area |
